150cc challenge – Hunk Vs Unicorn Vs X-treme Vs Pulsar Vs apache RTR

Battle b/n the beasts:

In 2007 alone two new premium bikes have been launched. As competition becomes tougher its hard to find the right products suits for you and more than introspection, comparison shows the true colour. We here compare all the 150cc bikes and dig out the pros and cons of the products. TVS apache RTR 160 included in the ‘battle b/n the beasts’ because of competetive price. Let’s watch the battle!

Design and Styling:

Whether its pulsar or unicorn or X treme or apache rtr or hunk every bike is either evolutionary or revolutionary in design dept. The black theme, aircraft type fuel lid and alloy wheels have become universal and it now features on all bikes. Though the basic design is not altered, pulsar has metmarphosed into a new bike with constant upgradation. Bajaj’s keen care makes the pulsar even to match the new generaton bike like apache rtr. But too much of pulsars in the road has started developing fatigue. Honda has always been conserative. Though unicorn styling is evergreen it cannot conceal the age. Also lack of contemporary features like LED tail lamps, digital speedo and gas charged suspension makes the unicorn outdated. Xtreme’s face(headlamp) inspired from unicorn fails to charm though it has sexiest back of all the bikes. Large LED taillamps, bulleted silencer mouth and horns like supportive split grab rails scores the credit. Racy design with neccessary racing stripes, chiseled tank, stylish engine cowl, petal type disc brake and leaf shaped rear view mirrors makes the RTR one of the best looker. Hero Honda finds a space even in this crowd. The recently launched Hunk blends the design of cruiser and racy. Red dial, analog clock setup adds extra charm to the Hunk’s macho look. Though Hunk has not achieved the best of both worlds it scores a lot. Of these bikes, Apache RTR, Hero Honda Hunk, CBZ X-Treme targets a niche market within the 150cc segment. Honda’s unicorn lures the conservative man. Pulsar 150cc which attracted the youth when it launched, now turns into a family bike.

Engine and Transmission:

This must be easiest section to decide, since three of the competetiors – Hero Honda’s Hunk,CBZ X-Treme and Honda’s unicorn shares the same engine. Unicorn’s 149.2cc was the least power producer yet it scores full points for its refinement. Unicorn’s engine develops 13.3bhp at 8000rpm and 12.75Nm of 6500rpm. Hero Honda offers the same engine with little more power(0.8bhp) for both the Hunk and the CBZ X-treme. Pulsar 150cc engine is one of the best engine made by the bajaj. The twin spark 149cc engine produces 14bhp at 8500rpm.

TVS apache rtr is powered by an 160cc engine which produces 15.2bhp at 8500 rpm and 13.1Nm at 6000 rpm. Clearly, Apache RTR is the best among the traits in terms of performance. Apache RTR has higher power to weight ratio 111.7bhp/ton.Apachian can push the redline even upto 12000rpm. The extra 10cc plays a main role for the RTR and it is the only bike in the segement capable of breaching the 110kmph mark with appreciable control. All the bikes in the 150cc segment breathes through CV carburettor, in India, Fuel Injection (FI) is yet to make a wave. All the bikes Pulsar, Unicorn,CBZ Xtreme, apache RTR and Hunk features 5-speed (1-down 4-up pattern) gearbox. Their way of functioning and design varies. Apache RTR, Hero Honda Hunk and CBZ Xtreme targets young customers and hence gear shifting is through toe levers. In Unicorn and Pulsar 150cc it is through heel and toe levers.

Fuel Efficiency/mileage:

While the Honda’s engineering makes the mill frugal for the Bajaj its twin spark technology and exhausTEC do the difference. Both the Bajaj Pulsar 150cc and Honda’s Unicorn consumes 1 litre to returns around 55kmpl in our combined city and highway drive. Hero Honda Hunk’s 150cc engine is integrated with advance tumble flow induction (ATFI) technology. This kind of induction helps the motor to burn the fuel more efficiently. Hence the Hunk has little edge over its sibling CBZ X-treme but only by a small margin(1-2kms). Hunk returns 51kmpl in our test drive. TVS apache RTR which topped the performance bar flips in the mileage dept as expected. It gives a mileage of 48kmpl.

Ride and Handling:

Power and Torque coming from the mill has to be put on the road intelligently. Considering the Indian infrastructure it is must for Indian bikes to have superior handling characteristics. Few years back Honda surprised everyone with its monoshock suspension, its light steering and single downtube frame with engine as a stressed member. The bike gives a planted feedback to riders. Though Honda’s commuter type seating offers good comfort to the riders, it hampers the Honda in scoring full points in handling section. Unicorn’s biggest loss is the CBZ X-treme’s biggest gain. X-Treme’s sporty riding position with raised footpegs and its diamond type frame helps to negotiate turns and quick directional changes. But X-treme become cumbersome to handle at low speeds espescially when you have to incredible turns in the traffic signal. Xtreme’s 240mm disc brakes offers the neccessary bite when you need it. Pulsar 150cc which rides on 17″ inch tyres is showing its age.But pulsar’s sharp braking makes the pulsar fit for the competition. TVS has equipped the apache RTR with everything to be jesse owen. Yes, it is the most athletic in the segment. Want to flick! apache RTR’s clip on handle bar, shorter wheelbase and lower saddle height will help you like anything. RTR uses different sets of tyres at the front and the rear(17″-front and 18″-rear), this setup really makes the difference for the RTR’s road stance. 270mm petal disc brake holds the bike at the press of the brake lever. Hero Honda’s new hunk inherits most character of the CBZ X-treme but the heaviest bike in the class along with the large claddings tends to intimidate while taking sharp turns.

Recently launched Hunk is the first one to feature Gas charged suspension from Hero Honda’s stable. TVS has been using Rectangular arm suspesion for a long time, other such as Pulsar and Hunk adopts it. Other than Honda’s unicorn and Hero Honda’s CBZ Xtreme, all the bikes in the segment features Gas charged suspension. Unicorn’s 3 way adjustable monoshock and CBZ Xtreme’s ride is on a stiffer side. Both the bikes transfers the vibration to the pillion. TVS MIG(Monotube Inverted Gas filled) offers better ride. Bajaj pulsar 5 way adjustable suspension set up is one of the softest. Hunk’s comfortable seating (with extra lumber support) and GRS makes it easily the winner in the ride quality. 145kg beast controls the vibration and rarely transmits. All these bikes except unicorn have handle bar weights to cushion your hands by reducing the handle bar vibration. But i have seen many of the bikers to remove the weights since it tends to hit while negotiating sharp turns.

Engineering and the goodies…

All these bike have trip meter, standard warning lamps and an analog tachometer in common. While Honda bets on quality, bajaj packs its bike with user friandly features to sell its bikes. Pulsar 150cc is the first bike to feature digital instrumentation and LED tail lights. Pulsar’s instrument panel is neatly laid out. Cable free speedometer is an another useful feature in the pulsar 150cc. TVS followed the bajaj’s way apahe RTR comes with LCD speedo analog tacho and LED tail lamp cluster. Apache RTR’s useful features includes service and battery indicators. The clip on handlebar which facilates varying the handle bar position is a must feature to be in all bikes. While the Xtreme features twin pod instrument, hunk and unicorn features hooded tripod arrangement.

No confusion here! the winners of this test are every bike enthusiast who pushed these makers to come out with bikes of international standard. Though indian market far from being compared to any western market. Our bike standards are growing day-by-day. Though R1 and Hayabusa are not made in india. Apache’s and Xtreme’s feature equally competetive design.

Coming back to our “battle b/n the beasts”, Bajaj pulsar 150cc and Honda Unicorn are already proven winners. Comfort factor and fuel efficiency of both the pulsar and unicorn are unquestionable and still the best in the category. But as new generation bikes like apache RTR, CBZ X-treme and Hunk are ready to take the customers to a new range of excitement, Pulsar and unicorn tends to give way to newbies. RTR’s robust performance, Hunk’s muscular styling and CBZ Xtreme’s exceptional handling characteristics cannot escape from the eyes of bike lovers. CBZ X-treme lacks contemporary styling and its stiffer ride quality leaves the race in the penuultimate lap. Also X treme is too pricey. Hero Honda has set right few of the short comings of CBZ X-treme at the same time inheriting the best of it. Hunks blends cruiser and racy theme nicely.Lack of powerful engine and absence of modern (yet practical) features makes the wrestler to lose against the athelete. Apache RTR with high performance engine, upswept styling and host of features rocks the 150cc class. The dearer price point also adds more value to the RTR.though it can improve its quality ad tweak its gearbox.

The crown for 150cc kingdom has been most voltaile and with the apache RTR FI, Yamaha’s and Suzuki’s 150cc bike are around the corners, i’m sure that a new(complete) set of bikes will be compared when we do it again in 2008.

Colour matters:

Whatever the bike you choose (depends on your indivual needs), colour matters most. Yellow matters most for the apache RTR. Bajaj Pulsar 150cc sells hot in classic black. Unicorn excels in red and Xtreme catches the eye in silver. Hunk becomes bull in black. Again this is subject to differ.

  1. Hey Steve!

Thanks for the indepth review… Your review made me re-inforce my belief that Apache RTR is the best bike in 150 cc segment!!!

Have to decided to buy it thanks to you 🙂

  2. Hi Steve
Very good and interesting review of the top class bikes. I have one very important question …. When is RTR eFI being launched ???

  3. thankx a lot dear, that ia will help me to opt a correct one …….as sure i will go for the atheletic RTR FI.

    Thankx once again !!

  4. Hey , Steve

Ur blog was really informative, keep up the work , i am still confused, as i always prefered, Unicorn, coz of its smooth drive, & the mono suspenssion , can u let me know the flaws of it

as i have decided to purchase CBZ xtrem or Unicorn , fuel efficiency matters, do let me knw at the earliest , u can contact me on sriram.v30@gmail.com

  5. Individual bikes in individual traits, and at the end it all boils down to indiavidual needs, preferences, and choices. I have been riding a 1st-generation Apache for the last 16 months, and have test-ridden the RTR also. RTR is definitely an improvement over my motorcycle, and definitely a machine to put your money into.

Pros of RTR: ** Terrific handling and stability at medium to high speeds
    ** Superb braking
    ** Digital instrument console
    ** Smooth, rev-happy engine

Cons of RTR: ** Overtly sporty riding position(makes long rides a pain)
    ** Stiff ride quality
** Not as agile as the previous generation apache in tackling low- speed, tight corners.
** Short overall gearing, limited top speed(about 115 kph)
    ** Shoddy TVS tyres

There is no other bike in the 150-cc class as of now which can hold a candle to RTR’s performance in stock form(Though I personally have had my OLD apache modified a bit, and it easily outran the RTR, the pulsar 180, the mighty(so-called!)ZMA…of course at the cost of mileage,it gave me around 45-47 kpl after the mods and hard riding)

THE soon-to-be-launched EFI will take the performance to new heights, and has been reported to be incredibly fuel-efficient and refined too.The best is yet to come, and add to that the performance mods(read:hi-lift cams, advanced ignitin timing,hi-flow air filter, sports exhaust etc.).However, I was pretty dissapointed to know from the TVS guys that the mods are(as of now) only available for the carburated version of RTR, which will push its peak power to 18.5 bhp and peak torque to over 15 nm,good for 140 kph,as per TVS.

    face-to-face: 0-60 kph Top speed

    Pulsar 150 dts-I: 5.59 sec 111.4 kph
    Unicorn : 6.18 sec 113.1 kph
    CBZ X-Treme : 5.77 sec 111.2 kph
    Hunk : 5.55 sec 108.0 kph
    Apache RTR : 5.01 sec 114.8 kph

    FOR COMPARISION: RTR EFI : 0-60 kph 4.73 sec/top speed 120 kph
RTR with performance kit: 0-60 kph 3.8 sec/top speed 140 kph

WIll keep updating as and more I have more date to talk about.

Last but not the least, whenever you buy an apache, be sure to upgrade the typres to 2.75-17″ Dunlop zebra/MRF nylogrip zapper/90/90-17″ MRF nylogrip zapper(front) and 100/90-18″ MRF nylogrip zapper(rear). It will make a world of difference to the way the bike handles.

  6. I am still confused but will love to buy Hunk.
Will it be good decision in terms of riding comfort both for rider(5’11’ ht.) & pillion.
Also will it give more pain in terms of fuel economy & maintenance. Should i wait for s’time for new vehicles to come in the market or opt for Hunk just now????

I request you all to plz guide me, though i am an autom. Er., much confused for these????

  7. i have tested all the 150 cc bikes in that HONDA unicorn rocks …i will give unicorn the maximum marrks in all the bikes in 150 cc segment ..i think unicorn is best

  8. i am really going mad from past 30 days reading all the reviews… i am confused b/w rtr and cbz.. i drove rtr160 for about >5000kms and its awesome however with my height of 6ft, its hard for me to go on a long ride, to the max i am able to ride it for <100kms but not more than tat.. i have nto got an oppourtunity to drive a CBZ.. so any experts can you please suggest a bike with good height.. i hate to go for a hunk or pulasr.. as i have enough xperience with rtr i am okay with it in driving aspect howver need some info about cbz.. that the only thing made me to think and stopped buying from a rtr…

  9. Apache RTR 160 is clearly one of the best in the market as you said. Its a wonderful bike with all the goodies like clip on handle bars, digital instrumentation, refined engine and gearbox etc. Only problem is the gear ratio is too short that it makes 60 kmph speed on 5th gear at 5000 rpm (engine speed). New RTRs vibrate a lot beyond 60 kmph which engineers say should be OK after 5000 to 8000 kms. I have changed the chain sprockets to 34 teeth from the original 44 teeth ones and the bike is performing much better and smoothly. You can find a detailed report at the website (mouthshut.com) given here.

  10. Hi Steve
Your blog was very informative.Great work. With this it is clear that pulsar is the best.
The technology they have used is mind blowing. The looks are great. It seems other bikes are so out dated.Pulsar rocks.

  11. Dear All,,

Wonderful.. stances for a greatly confused mind.. Very much thankful for yur proven timetaken to make these analysis.. My Choice for the day would be between.. Hero Honda Hunk Vs Bajaj Pulsar.. Bye

  12. Hi everyone…. this is Rahul from Shimla.
please anyone tell me which one I should buy…
    pulsar 150 or 180…
please compare these bykes in terms of price, mileage, pick up, performance, grip, problems n other specifications..
    please e-mail me at ‘ thakurrahulthakur@gmail.com‘…..

    • if ur going for more power go for 180
and if ur going for milage go for 150 and even 150 has great power
both bikes will give u sporty look @ Rahul

  13. hi can anyone preferably who owns any of these can tell me the mileage stats of HUNK and PULSAR150??? also im a bit confused about which bike is more reliable???

  14. hey i think your verdict is wrong in engines and transmission section. the engine of cbz xtreme and hunk is superior than all the 150 cc bikes. it gives 14.4 bhp @ 8500 rpm. these engines cross their limit and can touch above 120 kmph. its proven. and the bike does’nt loose control over handling. it goes smoothly. the apache rtr 160 does’nt come in this section its 10 cc more, its an advantage for rtr160. its known as cheating. and pulsar 150 does’nt give the bhp of 14 it gives 13.6bhp its dtsi feature is useless. if u light a gas stove with one stick or with 2 stick there will be no changes. same as, with 2 sparks the engine cannot produce more bhp. and the tachometer shows wrong indication in bajaj bikes, it shows more than the regular bikes. AS SUCH IT IS PROVEN THAT THE HERO HONDA ENGINE IS SUPERIOR THAN OTHER ENGINES. its smoother its mild and it gives a great pick up and mileage. so dont think go to hero honda near u

    • CBZ sucks man.. its like a ladies bike with thin bony structure lol.. R u gal or a guy.. i have a doubt cause u like the CBZ lol lol

    • i am agree with your comment…many users of pulsar150 are saying about its chain spockets problem..its speed meter is not proper at an old tyre or low pressured tyre. Abut the descricptions of bhp of pulsar 150 & hero honda cbz xtreme wich are given by you are correct…. I think no doubtly hero honda cbz is the best bike among 150cc..

  15. I think that the Hunk is defnitely a very good buy…because it has a very strong engine aided with its extremely bold and masculine looks. It is a mixture of power and style…and yes I am going for the Black colour.. doesn’t it sound perfect? Ya, it does….

  16. i am 5ft 10in, 69 kg. could you suggest a 150-160 cc bike. my requirements are

medium mileage, good ride condition, good ride stability at medium and high speed, my budget 65k.

    expecting your suggestions?

  17. Hello friend… im telling u Hunk gives u the above average features off all 150cc
    bikes… It has more VALUE 4 MONEY…

  18. Hi,

I am planning to purchase Pulsar 150cc or Unicorn, can any one suggest me which one is the best.

My requirements are good millage, comfort, durability and good looking.

My height is 5’10 inches with 68 kgs, so please suggest me which one is best fit for me.

  19. Hello all,

I have already ridden honda unicorn and i have been impressed by it’s seating comfort and smooth ride and ofcourse millage. But now i like the apache RTR design much more and i alsoo know it’s millage is less, and i want to know if the maintence cost will be high or not.?

    • transport k kam me lele is bike ko…

      u r fool u r going to buy a 150cc bike and expecting mileage of 63.. r u mad..

mileage kam krao bhai vrna bike k engine se hath dho baithoge smjhe…..

  20. Sorry to tell u guyz….. but apache is not such a great bike as the above passage states it to be…..
apache is a very fragile kind of bike…. not smooth et all… vibrates a hell lot at higher speeds…pick up and handling r again fine…. but then again those extra 10 cc’s jus make a diffrence in numbers ..
again d bike has a very small frame … two mediums sized ppl cant fit well…!!so tats very less comfort… and has low stability too….!!!
and TVS bikes except fiero.. hav never been good as a general thing…!!!

  21. I think hunk is the best bike in this segment bez. it gives a very good milege wth a god performance.so go for it . . .

  22. I hv been ridin my Hunk 4 past 6 months n i think its jst awesome. my brother has a Unicorn which is equally good. both r very smooth. Hunk is even smoother at higher speeds. it has enough power(14.4 BHP). unicorn has around 1 BHP less(13.5) . but i dont think that makes any big diffeence n both gives around 55-60kmpl. our Unicorn is 4 yrs old now. i have to say, unlike Pulsars its quality is exceptional. it still runs smoother as it was 4 yrs ago. we do only regular services and never had to take it 4 any repair. Pulsars sucks quality wise.

  23. I hv been ridin my Hunk 4 past 6 months n i think its jst awesome. my brother has a Unicorn which is equally good. both r very smooth. 24. thx a lot for your reveiws. In my opinion you should go for hunk the real muscular bike with a macho look for every new generation with superb handling, smooth gear shifting & sporty look. Apache only leads hunk in 10 cc engine with less milege & also produces vibration in 90-100 kmph drive which in not in hunk.
Dont have any comment for cbz & unicorn as i didn’t have any chance to drive them. They dont look much atletic.
Pulsar is the real compititor for hunk with digital spedometor & smooth suspension, but while taking a steeep turn there is some problem it feels.
Go for muscular hunk/pulsar150 nothing more for 150cc range.
if u need speed, power & dnt look for milege & price, go for 220-225 range.

  25. unicorn rocks……………… with its butter smooth engine . its a very good cornering tool for sharp corners……….rtr is good but not better than unicorn………….

    • sbse gandi bike agar koi h 150cc me to wo unicorn hi h guys…….

  26. hi
apache RTR 160 is best bike and good performance, sexy looking as compare to hunk, unicorn, cbz xtrem, pluser

  27. m very much confused about bikes and that too amongst pulsar 150, apache RTR 160 & 180, hunk……….
please if any one can tell me which is the best one for its millage, services & less maintenance cost i would be grateful.

  28. Hi Nabarun if you are looking for millage, services & less maintenance cost…go for Honda Unicorn…you feel riding and you get all the benifits(millage, services & maintenance)…Best among these range bikes…

  29. i have my red devil hunk from last 8 months and i bet u i can beat any stupid rtr, pulsars and all bull shits.the red devil is waitingggggggggggg

    • hi frnd u must go for hunk as per ur required parameters..
u got hereo honda engine(1st thing)
awesome atheletic look definetly for newbies(2nd thing)
good mileage of 51 kmpl(3rd thng)
no maintenence bcoz u hav choosen hero honda sirf naam hi kaafi h…u must knw that(4th thng)
wat else u r waiting for dude…! go for it…..!

  30. i am 5ft 7in, 59 kg. could you suggest a 150-160 cc bike. my requirements are

medium mileage, good ride condition, good ride stability at medium and high speed, my budget 65k.

    expecting your suggestions?

  31. hey frnds..!i hav “LIMITED EDITION HUNK”…””REALLY THE BULL..””
TWO DAYS AGO I HAVE VISITED TO JAIPUR FROM AJMER IT IS 140 KM…AND BELIEVE ME…I NEVER FEEL LACK OF POWER THOUGH RIDING ON A FOUR lane higway with a pillion(65kg)and myself(59kg).i ride my BULL at a constant speed of 110 kmph..its handling pickup all is best.
do not come to any conclusion without riding HUNK.. its AWESOME BIKE..guys..maimum speed of hunk as mentioned in above passage is wrong it goes upto 120 its my experince… ride it to experince by yourself…

    its power generation is –14.4bhp

limited editions stylish look is jst what u cant discribe it with words… just watch and feeeeeeeeeeel….thats the right info abt HUNK…….”””THE BULL”””

    goo forrrrrr ittttttttt jst nowwwwwwwwwwwww………………!

  32. sharan hunk will be the best
    sansha cbz will be better
    ashiq apache will be good
    abinesh pulsar will be worst
sreejith boxer will be double worst

  33. My hite is 5ft 7in could you suggest tvs rtr160,and honda unicon150 cc bike best milage good ride high speed 60,65 Km please tell me

  34. thanks steve
before i confused what bike will purchase but now i m free b coz xtreme is the best for all. fuel efficiency and rich capabability is only herohonda.

  35. hero honda hunk is best bike bcz.
1,hero honda is world no 1 compny
2, hunk top speed 120km.par hour & pik up is high.

  36. Hi frnd i need a bike please suggest me b/w unicorn dazzler or cbz xtreme or yamaha fz???
I want free fevving engine till red line…
    Plz suggest???

  37. Hi All..I have rode all the bikes of the 150cc class..and i think each have their own pros and cons..

After ridin all the bikes, I personally think that the Apache RTR 160cc is the best following with the Hunk..

If your lookin for something for a family bike,i suggest u look at pulsar..

CBZ xtreme has similar engine fearues as Hunk..but little more lighter.

All the best and happy riding with which ever bke you buy..HAPPY RIDING.. 🙂

  38. I have driven all the bikes mentioned here

    Performance: RTR> Xtreme>Unicorn>Hunk>Pulsar

    Handling: Xtreme>Unicorn>Hunk>RTR>Pulsar

    Best engine: Unicorn>Xtreme>Hunk>RTR>Pulsar

Guys am sorry to say pulsar sucks not much pick up compared to other bikes and bad handling

i actually like pulsar before but after two accidents really i have to search for handling in that bike while i have faced head on with a jeep in unicorn and slid away from the jeep in a nick of time….

extreme has good handling but its stiff the bike never moves with you and rtr has good handling and hunk is a bit heavy but still has good handling the mechanic saw the devil sitting behind in hunk during the test drive….

the bike i would go for are
    1. Unicorn(Mileage this is india, handling, best engine) bit heavy
    2. Hunk (Bit of style and engine as unicorn) bit heavy
    3. RTR (Style and handling) light
    4. xtreme (stiff and less stylish) light
    5. pulsar (Am never thinking of this bike again) am not telling

  39. This comment is very much helpfull for those who are confused in buying a 150cc bike.I came to know that it is most preferable to buy an Appache or Hunk than all others..

  40. I have apache RTR 160 and i driven my Bike at TOP SPEED OF 124 km/h And damn Bike was in control with aerodynamics. Speechless and Now I’m gonna buy RTR 180 TOO .. Best mileage compared to and 150cc bikes. yooo Man..

  41. A very nice review stevie…but i would like to add the bike i ride…hero honda achiver…im looking for info about crossing the 110 kmph barrier…is it possible for 150 cc bike?

    • 110 is max achievable out of a 150cc bike (if the rider’s weight is approx 60)…though i have touched 112kmph on my bajaj pulsar 150cc while cuming down from a flyover… otherwise 109 is max for my bike….

  42. Hunk is the overall best in 150CC category. It looks great..handling is perfect…low engine noise…engine power is good..durable…only the braking is comperatively poor..

  43. Hey shiv, i must say that u r rubbish,
the honda unicorn is da best best bike in the history of 150cc engine.
Coz am usin 4 more than 6 mths
So i must recommend to buy the uni.

  44. I’ve buyed TVS Apache E-SURGE 150cc and it is really the good one. I’ve experienced it for more than 3 years.
Two of my good friend purchased Bajaj Pular 150cc on the same day and the performance of the bike was so bad that both of them had changed the muffler within couple of year.
I suggest to buy TVS Apache E-SURGE 150cc.

  45. cbz xtreme with atft engine is veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy gooooooodddddddddddddddddddddd…no bikes should beat the cbz xtreme for eve…such a preety figure..that hero honda launches …dhak dhak go

  46. hello everyone..i luk lean but strong enough 2 handle a bike..
i’m confused of choosing amongst 150cc bikes..
can anyone help me in choosing them??
wats ur opinion abt cbz extreme..????

  47. pulsar rocks guys in ways of handling and speed pick up performance handling s so good i can bend through trafic othr bikes r lik no bend ive had a pulsar frm 2yrs and not one day i regret riding it pulsar has awesome handling than any othr 150 cc bikes…

  48. Hi..I think pulsar 150 is best among all other 150cc segment bikes…In sense of performance it has now improved power of 15.06 bhp(may power in 150 cc except yamaha’s r15)…In sense of technology it is best than other bikes even better than karizma in sense of technology it has twin sparks which are controlled by 8bit microprocesser which gives best power and milage combination..It also has exhaust tec which helps it perform better than other bikes at lower speeds without much gear changes..It has best looks because it has tank scoops all black treatment etc also it is best bike which allows the best modification to be done than other bikes..It also posses clip on handle bars from 2010 model..It has many great things just go for pulsar..And the result shows that among total sale of 150cc bikes 43% sale in india is of pulsar..Thats it its the great bike ride it n feel the difference

  49. Hey guys…Im 5.6 …im gonna buy a bike.My choise r Pulsar and Hunk. Among them which one has better speed ? plsss suggest me brothers

  50. i challenge u Mr.hunk rider…
go and bring a KARIZMA TO race wid me…
dont even think of HUNK or a CBZ…haah……

  51. I am not feeling its a just review, pointing out lots of technical details with bike wise is not a silly thing, it was smarter review i ever read.

    Thanks darling

  52. my hunk gives me just 111 km/h speed………….. i am very sad……… how do i increase my hunk’s speed??????

      • Thanks for the advices…but can you please instruct me what is the modification should be done for clutch plate & what do you mean about double piston..is that means we have to change the engine??? i just aked you i,m so interested in this matter…

  53. Apache RTR 160 Hyper EDGE is the most amazing bike…..just bought it this dussra and it is absolutely awesome.Milage good….pickup compared to no other bike…took the yellow colour …got no words for it.WOW!!

  54. extreamly usless cmmnt or reveiw made in d articl, the user seems to have special love for apachi rtr clearly.

he made apachi RTR as his own winner in the starting of the article ……its the worse articl and review i have ever come across…..

dont shw a bias image of other byks………herohonda n honda r d bst every1 knw

    • i am very much impresed with your observation …..mate…..no one else has noticed that …..he kept on praising apache…..from start to end…..and he declared rtr winner in the begining……..
And u also said corect that hero honda engine are apreceable…….

But if u ever drive ”PULSAR” u will feel the diffrence it is the best among all in 150cc category except r15 ……u just look at its look…maaannnn……..it’s so cool….and the best bike as per pick up ……., top speed, looks, and every thing……….

and no one can beat that black beauty……….

  55. i am a rider of hunk 2011 model after all test rides of its segment bikes finally i feel that it is the best bike in the market today

    • guys u dnt even know the performance of new pulsar 150.have done racing with hunk and cbz.they wrecked.not even reaching 115 .pulsar the great

  56. Apache RTR is the best in all categories except milage but a miner difference of 4 to 5 kmpl … as compare to power, pickup and RTR technology and Desing of Aerodynamic look of apache make it the best and the winner also so Apache is on the Top speed of my apache RTR-RD is 130 kmph . and i need power.

  57. IT HAS BEEN AROUND A YEAR WITH MY PULSAR 150 UG 4.5 ITS AWESOME BIKE style comfort mileage and speed combination of all the things complete package….

  58. Guys I’ve buy the muscle hunk n it gave me nice experience in riding…after a year it gives me an avg of 47 kmpl in city n 53on highway..while riding the sound of engine is very low so DAT u can enjoy ur journey my suggestion to go wid all new muscle hunk..I’ll fill like a beast…

  59. I am a mechanic. Hunk is the king of all 150cc bike.58mileage constant in60 speed.no visor problem, chain, disc lock, self noise.in other like pulsar handel, self noise, untolerate chain sound, hard disc brake, no resale valve just use and throw.the most third grade bike bullet.max speed100,mobil2.8liter. Loud noise, mileage 30 kmpl.
